What Makes Loro Piana Special

What Makes Loro Piana Special

Loro Piana is a globally recognized luxury brand, with 171 stores across the world. But at its heart, Loro Piana is a maker of ultra-premium fabrics, including some of the finest wool in the world

The Loro Piana family began trading wool in the 19th century, and established a mill of their own in 1924. To this day, all of Loro Piana’s fabrics are milled in Italy, and the firm is recognized as the single largest producer of cashmere.

Loro Piana isn’t a small operation—in fact, they produce five million meters of fabric annually. But its size gives it total control over the production of its fabric at every stage, ensuring a level of quality that’s nearly unsurpassable. The mill is also a global leader in sustainability, and works to protect the habitats of the animals that produce its fabric. And though the company is close to 100 years old, they’re also on the cutting edge of fabric research and development.

For all these reasons and more, we’re immensely proud to include Loro Piana wools among our Italian wool suiting options.
