How Virtual Appointments Work

A lot has changed over the last year—but not our commitment to finding your best fit. We’ve been exploring new ways to provide the same level of personal service without in-person contact, and we’re proud to offer our clients virtual appointments to assess fit. 

Naturally, you may have some questions on how exactly this works. So we’ve outlined what happens before, during, and after your virtual appointment (to get started, request one here).

What happens before your virtual appointment
We do the hard part. Prior to the appointment, a menswear specialist will review your Blank Label profile to learn about your past orders, fit preferences, and alterations history. 

We just ask you to be dressed in the clothing you wish to discuss (if any), and to stand in a well-lit area that has enough space for you to back away from the camera to provide a full-body shot, if needed.

Also, take into account what kind of shoes or other clothing best complements the items you wish to discuss. For instance, if you’d like to have the fit of a suit assessed, wear a dress shirt under it and the type of shoes you’d wear with the suit.

What happens during your virtual appointment
You can expect the call to begin with a short introduction from the menswear specialist who has previously reviewed your profile. They will ask you what your needs, concerns, or requests may be regarding fit and clothing. 

Afterward, the menswear specialist will assess the fit by asking you to face the camera from different angles and perform a few simple physical gestures like sitting down or extending your arms or legs. 

Once the assessment is complete, the menswear specialist will ask if you have any questions about fit, styling, or anything else, and go over what will happen after the appointment.

What happens after your virtual appointment 
Following the appointment, you’ll receive an email with instructions on what to do next if you are sending clothing to us for alteration. The email will include a summary of the changes, a request for photos of yourself that will be forwarded to our tailors (we’ll include photo instructions), and a prepaid shipping label
