What is a glen check pattern?
A glen check, also known as a glen plaid or sometimes a “Prince of Wales,” is a pattern that combines alternating bands of small and large checks, one of which is often a houndstooth pattern. Some glen checks are overlaid with a windowpane pattern for greater visual effect. 

Why wear a glen check pattern?
Glen checks are sometimes associated with grand Scottish estates and rakish English royalty, but they can prove remarkably versatile and even subtle with the right color combinations.
