Investing in a Second Pair of Suit Pants

Like all good things, a suit won’t last forever. A well-made suit, particularly one that is half or fully-canvassed, will have a longer lifespan than a cheaply made suit. But years of regular wear will eventually take their toll.

However, there is an easy way to add extra years to a suit’s life, and that’s by investing in a second pair of trousers when the suit is made.

Why to Invest in a Second Pair of Suit Pants
Our daily movements put a lot more strain on pants than anything worn above the waist. All that bending, crouching, stretching and simply walking can wear out even the toughest of fabrics over time.

The suit is by definition a set of garments meant to be worn together. So if just one half of the suit is lost to wear-and-tear, the entire suit is.

Unless you’ve thought to have a spare pair of trousers made. Some men like to alternate which pair they wear, so that each breaks in and ages the same way. Others like to keep the second pair in the back of their closet like an insurance policy. Either course of action can provide that piece of mind that comes from knowing your investment is safe.
